Doodlin’
Too lazy to post a comic & the scanner is all whack and diagonal also the period key isn’t working so I guess this is just going to have to be a run-on

Jam out with your Clam out
So, apparently any critical recognition I will ever garner in my non-career as an artist is going to be purely gynecological. Here is a tee-shirt design I did back in my innocent, idealist undergrad days. It’s going to be an illustration in New Blood: Third Wave Feminism and the Politics of Menstruation by Chris Bobel (Rutgers U. Press, 2010).

Ironic that I somehow had saved the original jpeg image of this, but none of the actual scholarly work I did during my misspent academic career made it through.

All you need
So, I think it will be a while until I get anything other than little sketchy things up in here. But, I promised words with pictures. Here’s something I drew for the Philadelphia performance of Eve Ensler’s Vagina Monologues at the Ethical Society for V-Day. Right now, it’s making its debut on the facebook, but it is rumored to eventually show up on merch for the show.

Not happening
I’ve been dicking around for too long about doing something creative now that I have the time. Luckily, the path of least resistance is putting words on paper with little illustrative pictures beside them, which I’ve been doing since that first awkward note from 3rd grade. Growth, both intellectual and artistic, has been stunted since then. I hope that Big Deal can be a chronicle of this lack of experience.
